What you are describing in the economy is exactly my take on what he says about why societies disappear. .We humans - clever apes that we are - solve problems. As the problems get more difficult we solve with increasingly complex solutions (which of course often create more complex problems) until, as he states, the society runs out of the energy (read money, time or actual energy) to solve it and it all unravels. <br /><br />He - and you - are looking pretty smart right now!
