Everything else being referred to as US money or dollars is either bank deposit liabilities or asset values. Primarily it's bank deposit liabilities (bank debt to deposit account holders). It's hard to have a hyperinflation with no money, especially so considering that all the triggers for a hyperinflation would result in bank failures on a grand scale. !POOF!, all gone with nothing left but the debts. Hope for stagflation.

Also, the Fed is barred from using the legal tender in any of its market operations so everything it does, it's doing it via crediting deposit accounts in the amounts, and we all know what deposit accounts are, don't we.
